Compost Toilet

Definition

A dry sanitation system that separates human waste and uses natural decomposition (composting) to turn it into nutrient-rich soil. Unlike conventional flush toilets, it requires little or no water and recycles waste safely back into the ecosystem.

Interpretation

More than a toilet β€” it’s a throne of regeneration. A place where shame is composted into pride, and what we once considered β€œwaste” becomes nourishment. It reminds us that paradise is a verb, and even our most private acts can be part of healing soil, feeding trees, and closing the circle of life.

Living Invitation

Next time you β€œdeal with your shit,” imagine the mango tree or banana circle your body could be feeding. Notice any shame that arises β€” and compost it too.
