Companion Planting

Companion Planting

Definition

The practice of planting different crops near each other to enhance growth, deter pests, and support biodiversity.

Interpretation

The art of plant friendship. Some plants love each other โ€” protect each other, feed each other, call pollinators together. Companion planting is choreography, not control.

Living Invitation

Plant or observe a pair of companions: basil and tomato, corn and beans, calendula and kale. What can they teach about partnership?
