Food Sovereignty

Food Sovereignty

Definition

The right of people and communities to define their own food systems β€” culturally appropriate, sustainable, and rooted in land access.

Interpretation

Freedom on a fork. Food sovereignty is more than access β€” it’s agency. It’s choosing what to grow, how to grow it, and why. It puts seeds back in the hands of people.

Living Invitation

Ask yourself: who decides what you eat? Trace one food item to its source β€” who held power in that journey?
