Body Memory

Body Memory

Definition

The idea that the body stores memories of past experiences, especially those involving trauma or strong emotion.

Interpretation

The flesh remembers. Body memory isn’t always conscious β€” it lives in posture, tension, avoidance. Healing the body means letting it speak what it couldn’t say then.

Living Invitation

Where do you feel old stories in your body? Offer that place presence, breath, or movement β€” without needing it to explain itself.
