Polyvagal Theory

Polyvagal Theory

Definition

A theory explaining how the vagus nerve influences emotional regulation, safety, and social connection through different physiological states.

Interpretation

The science of feeling safe. Polyvagal theory gives language to our shifts β€” freeze, fawn, fight, flight, f*ck, friend. It maps how the body responds to threat or trust. It’s the key to nervous system sovereignty.

Living Invitation

Explore your current state: are you in survival mode or social connection? What might help you shift up or down the ladder?
